NORMAN, Okla. - University of Denver men's golfer Espen Kofstad (Oslo, Norway) was named a Division I PING Honorable Mention All-American it was announced this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Kofstad was one of 30 student-athletes chosen as an honorable mention candidate.

His 71.26 scoring average was tops on the team, and he finished in the top-10 in 10 of his 12 tournaments. Kofstad was the winner of the 2009 "Arets Talent" award, given to Norway's top amateur golfer as decided by the Norwegian Golf Federation. Kofstad was also named Sun Belt Conference Co-Golfer of the Month for his dominant performances in March.
