Pioneers to Host Annual Open House on Friday

DENVER – The No. 20 University of Denver women’s gymnastics squad will be hosting its annual open house on Friday, Oct. 25 from 3-5:30 p.m. in Gates Field House.

The two and a half hour session will include an open practice and a question and answer segment. Fans will have a chance to meet the team and the coaches as well as take pictures and get autographs.

Denver finished the 2013 regular season ranked No. 15 and a program best 196.470 RQS. Pioneers are returning six seniors including Moriah Martin (Lake Mary, Florida) in the all-around. Martin finished 17th at the NCAA individual championships in Los Angeles. Adding to the senior class, Melodie Pulgarin Linero (Barcelona, Caralunya, Spain), Jorie Hall (Denver, Colo.), Kaitlin Moorhead (Palo Alto, Calif.), Paige Tollefson (Longmont, Colo.) and Emily Warfield (Lafayette, Colo.) will bring experience to the Denver squad.

Join the Pioneers on Friday afternoon to kick off homecoming weekend and get a sneak peak before the 2014 season begins. Denver will host their annual intra-squad meet on December 14 at 6 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium.
