Pioneers Take Part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

DENVER – The University of Denver women’s soccer team and The Susan Komen Foundation have teamed up to raise awareness about breast cancer.

For the duration of October, the Pioneers will be wearing pink warm-up jerseys to support the cause. In addition, on Friday, Oct. 11, pink shirts will be thrown into the crowd after every goal Denver scores.

The Susan Komen Foundation will be handing out information at the game to raise awareness and inform our spectators about breast cancer. There will be a donation box at the entrance of the stadium as well for those who wish to donate.

DU will be hosting Western Illinois on Friday at 7 p.m. Come out and support your Pioneers as they raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
