DENVER - University of Denver women's lacrosse sophomore Jill Remenapp (Woodbine, Md.) was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Offensive Player of the Week, the MPSF announced.
Remenapp combined for 16 points in three wins last week, recording four goals and 12 assists. Remenapp's efforts included a career-high six assists against Fresno State, just one shy of the Pioneer single-game record
"Jill has been playing at a high level all season," head coach Liza Kelly said. "She is a poised attacker with an incredible will to win."
Remenapp is leading the nation in assists (25) and ranks sixth in points (34) this season.
This marks the first MPSF Offensive Player of the Week for the Pioneers. Denver has claimed MPSF Defensive Player of the Week three times this season with Kate Henrich (Lansdale, Pa.) claiming the honor twice, and goalie Hannah Hook (Arnold, Md.) winning once.
The MPSF expanded weekly honors to include offensive, defensive and rookie of the week for this season, and the Pioneers have taken the defensive award each of the three weeks.
The Pioneers conclude their five-game homestand against Boston University at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Wednesday at 1 p.m. MT.
