Martin Earns Second Gymnast of the Week Honor of the Season

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The University of Denver women’s gymnastics senior Moriah Martin (Lake Mary, Fla.) was named Gymnast of the Week after earning the highest individual all-around score in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship alliance.

Martin's 39.450 is the highest all-around mark for an MRGC gymnast this season and included individual titles on vault (9.900) and bars (9.925). The senior also tallied a 9.775 on beam and a 9.850 on floor to finish in third place on each event.

Boise State scored a 196.325 in Chicago with wins over UIC, North Carolina and Bowling Green as Ceira Perkins captured individual titles on bars (9.875) and floor (9.900). BYU picked up a head-to-head victory against Utah State with a 194.900, behind Raquel Willman Hatch's first-place 39.225 in the all-around with the duo sharing MRGC Specialist of the Week accolades.

The Pioneers begin their four-week road stretch at Southern Utah on Friday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
