No. 40 Men's Tennis Hits the Road for Two Matches

DENVER - The No. 40 University of Denver men's tennis team (6-4) will travel to Kansas and Oklahoma this weekend. The Pioneers will take on Wichita State (5-3) on Friday February 27, at noon MT. Saturday February 28, Denver will face their first Summit League opponent of the season, Oral Roberts at 10:00 a.m. MT.

The Shockers lead the Pioneers 2-1 in the overall series, with the most recent match on February 23, 2013 when WSU won, 4-2. Denver is 2-0 against Oral Roberts. This will be the first time the Pioneers face the Golden Eagles in Summit League competition.

-A dual match is a best of seven points format where the doubles point is worth one point, and the 6 six singles match are worth one point each. The team that wins four points wins the dual match.
-No-ad scoring in singles and doubles.
-Three doubles matches played, each match one set to 6, with a tie-break at 6-all. The team that wins 2 of the 3 doubles matches wins the doubles point.
-Followed (after a 5 min intermission) by six singles matches, each match 2 out of 3 sets, with tie-breaks at 6-all.
-No warm-up with opponents (in doubles and in singles).
