DENVER-- University of Denver women's basketball head coach Kerry Cremeans announced the hiring of Brittany Graham as the new Director of Basketball Operations.
Graham, a Boulder, Colo. native, comes to the Pioneers after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Berry College in Rome, Ga. While at Berry, Graham gained experience in all aspects of the coaching industry, working as a coach, recruiter and video coordinator while handling all of the team's travel needs.
"I'm very excited for the opportunity to return to my home state and help continue to build the Denver program to new heights and learn from an experienced staff," Graham said.
Prior to her time at Berry College, Graham coached at Emory University during the 2012-13 season. While at Emory, the Eagles finished with a 24-4 record, which set a school record for most wins in a season and an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. Emory also captured the program's first-ever University Athletic Association Championship by posting a 12-2 conference record.
During her playing days, Graham enjoyed a fine two-year career at Georgia State University, playing in 59 games and drawing 29 starting assignments. As a junior during the 2008-09 season, she led the Panthers and finished 12th in the Colonial Athletic Association with 40 three-point field goals. The following campaign she knocked down a team-high 46 triples and ranked fifth in the CAA in three-point field goal percentage (.365).
She was the recipient of the CAA's Dean Ehler Leadership Award, symbolic of the highest standards of leadership, integrity and sportsmanship, in conjunction with academic and athletic achievements, becoming the first GSU student-athlete to be recognized for the honor. In addition, she was selected as Georgia State's Panther Award winner for all female student athletes and represented the school at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference.
Prior to Georgia State, she played one season at Kansas City (Kansas) Community College, capturing Second Team All-Jayhawk Conference honors after averaging 12.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Graham red-shirted during the 2005-06 season at the University of Missouri-Kansas City; she played in eight games for the Kangaroos the following year.
She graduated from Georgia State in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Journalism. She earned her Master's degree from Georgia State in Sport Administration in 2013.
