Crosswait Named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week

DENVER - University of Denver men's soccer winger Chandler Crosswait (Bedford, Texas) has been named the Summit League Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Crosswait slid a ball into the middle of the penalty area to sophomore Cole Stevenson (Leawood, Kan.) for the 61st-minute equalizer and scored his second game-winner on the trot in the 97th minute in the Pioneers 2-1 win over St. John's on Saturday.

Monday marked the first league offensive player of the week award for the Texas native. Crosswait leads the Pioneers, and is second in the Summit League with seven points in 2015.

Denver moved three spots up to No. 17 in the College Soccer News Poll on Monday and checked in at No. 21 in this week's Top Drawer Soccer Top-25.

UP NEXT:The Pioneers will have a split week this week when they travel to No. 16 Saint Louis on Friday for a 6 p.m. MT kickoff, before returning to the Mile High City to host Utah Valley on Sunday at 7 p.m. MT.
