DENVER ââ'¬" After another successful weekend on the slopes, the University of Denver's ski team has earned its fourth RMISA Skier of the Week award, as Tuva Norbye earned the title after the Denver Invitational.
The Oslo, Norway native scored second in the slalom (1:28.71) and fourth in the giant slalom (1:47.40) to be named Women's Alpine Skier of the Week.
Skiers of the Week are chosen using NCAA qualification points for each race. Ties are broken based on lowest combined time for the races in that discipline. Associate/non-NCAA members are not eligible. A skier can only win the award once per season.
Norbye follows teammates Linn Eriksen, Dag Frode Trolleboe and Andrea Komsic in holding the title.
Norbye and the rest of the Denver ski team return to action next Thursday, as they head to Steamboat Springs, Colo. for the RMISA Regional.
