Junior James Davis of the Denver Pioneers men's tennis team (6-0, 0-0) was named Summit League Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Davis went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles during the Pioneers' victories against Northern Colorado and Utah State last weekend. The junior from Barnstaple, England won both singles matches in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-1. Davis won his doubles matches 6-1 and 6-0 alongside partner Matt Summers. The perfect weekend improved Davis' record to 6-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles this season.

Denver is slated to return to action on Friday, Feb. 7 at Air Force. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m. MT.
