DENVER (Oct. 18) - The University of Denver inducted 15 individuals and the 1959-60 hockey team into its Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2000 tonight in a ceremony held at the Daniel L. Ritchie Center.
With master of ceremony popular sports talk host Mitch Hyder (KKFN-Radio), the Pioneers honored some of their greatest athletes in history, presenting each with a plaque as well as a commemorative medallion. In addition, permanent plaques in the West corridor of the Ritchie Center were unveiled.
The crowd of approximately 300 people was treated to a video presentation honoring the accomplishments of the inductees and the 1959-60 NCAA Champion hockey team.
