Denver Downs Air Force 3-0

Denver's Katie Antongiovanni scored two goals to lead the Pioneers to a 3-0 win over Air Force in a non-conference women's soccer match, Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Academy's Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The Pioneers, 7-2 overall this season, out-shot the Falcons, 16-8 overall and 8-2 on goal. Pioneer goalie Erica Izard made two saves in the shutout.

Antongiovanni scored her first goal of the game in the 37th minute as she followed up a shot by Kristin Warren. Her second goal of the game, and seventh of the season, was an unassisted goal in the 60th minute. DU's Lauren Sutton capped off the scoring in the 75th minute from Mychael Movius.

Denver, 7-2 overall this season, 2-1 in Sun Belt play returns to action at home this Friday when they host Arizona at 3 p.m.
