DENVER - Junior-to-be right winger Connor James (Calgary, Alberta) was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the ninth round (279th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, held Saturday and Sunday in Toronto.
James capped his sophomore season by finishing second in scoring (42 points) on his way to WCHA Third Team honors.
Over his two-year Denver career, James has amassed 69 points (24g-45a) in 79 games.
James joins senior-to-be Greg Barber (Boston), junior Ryan Caldwell (New York Islanders) and junior Adam Berkhoel (Chicago) of drafted current Pioneers.
