Women's Tennis Wins First Sun Belt Match

The No. 61 University of Denver women's tennis team won its first Sun Belt Conference (SBC) match against North Texas, 6-1, today at the Stapleton Tennis Pavilion at the University of Denver. With the win, the Pioneers move to 7-4 overall and 1-0 in the SBC.
"The girls played well for their first match outdoors," said head coach Dana Young. "Hopefully, this will be a good start to the weekend."
The Pioneers won all of the doubles matches and five of the six single matches. Sophomores Yanick Dullens (Susteren, Netherlands), Barbara Kourim (Dallas, Texas), and Stephanie Ginsburg (Englewood, Colo.) and freshmen Suzana Maksovic (Helsingborg, Sweden) and Jenny Trettin (Berlin, Germany) were all double winners in the Pioneer victory.
The Pioneers will host Montana tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at the Stapleton Tennis Pavilion at the University of Denver.
