DENVER - Becky Motchan joins the University of Denver Athletic Department as the Media Relations Assistant, according to Dr. M. Dianne Murphy, Director of Athletics and Recreation.

Motchan spent the last two years as a student assistant in the Missouri media relations office, where she worked with the nationally ranked men's basketball and women's gymnastics teams, as well as the women's soccer and men's football squads. She also completed internships with the United States Olympic Committee in Lake Placid, N.Y., and the American Junior Golf Association. Motchan comes to Denver from the University of Missouri - Columbia, where she earned a dual degree in journalism and computer science.

Motchan will serve as the primary contact for men's lacrosse, women's soccer, and men and women's swimming.

"Becky will be a great addition to our staff," Director of Media Relations Marla Rodriguez said. "She comes from a great journalism school and has tremendous experience from Mizzou."
