MIAMI, Fla. - For the second consecutive year the University of Denver women's soccer team beat Louisiana-Lafayette, 1-0 in the first round of Sun Belt Conference tournament in Miami, Fla., this evening.

Lleane Grmditch (Boulder, Colo.) scored the lone goal and what would prove to be the game winner for the Pioneers in the 23rd minute. Grimditch beat a Cajun defender, dribbled and blasted it past Ragin' Cajun keeper Anna Brannon from 10 yards out.

Although Denver had many opportunities to score and had the better of play, the lone goal was all the Pioneers needed to move on to the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 4.
