Oregon holds off Denver, 4-3

The University of Denver men's tennis team suffered a tough 4-3 loss to Oregon in tennis action tonight in Boise, Idaho. Denver falls to 4-2 overall with the loss.

The Ducks won three singles matches and the crucial doubles point to claim the narrow victory. Sophomore Nejc Smole (Ljubljana, Slovenia), junior Jason Tan (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and sophomore Niko Popovic (Ljubljana, Slovenia) all won singles matches for Denver. Smole improved to 5-1 at No. 1 singles for the Pioneers.

Denver plays Boise State tomorrow afternoon in Boise.
