Denver Rolls to 6-1 Win

The University of Denver captured the doubles point and five of six singles matches to roll to a 6-1 victory over Cal-Northridge in women's tennis action this afternoon in San Diego, Calif. Denver earns its eighth consecutive victory and improves to 11-1 overall. Cal-Northridge falls to 3-12 overall. Denver has outscored its opponents 50-6 during the season-high eight-match winning streak.
Yanick Dullens (Susteren, Netherlands), Jenny Trettin (Berlin, Germany), Barbara Kourim (Dallas, Texas), Rachel Sackmaster (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Beth Messaros (Sr., Gahanna, Ohio) all won their respective singles matches. Dullens improved to 10-2 at No. 1 singles, while Trettin, Kourim and Sackmaster improved to 11-1 at No. 3-5. Messaros chipped in her seventh win at No. 6 singles.
The Pioneers also captured the doubles point with a sweep from No. 1-3. Kourim and Trettin stayed unbeaten (12-0) at No. 2 doubles with an 8-0 win.
The Pioneers (11-1) return to action tomorrow afternoon against Princeton in San Diego, Calif.
