May 27, 2004

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Denver sophomore men's golfer James Love (Calgary, Alberta) was named to the PING all-Southwest Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Thursday, one of just 15 collegiate golfers to make the list. The PING all-region teams are each comprised of 15 golfers (there are nine geographic regions) and all the golfers selected now are eligible for PING All-America honors.

Love led the Pioneers with a 72.44 scoring average in 2003-04 and was Denver's most consistent golfer. He had three top-10 finishes in 12 tournaments during the season and recorded Denver's best finish at the NCAA West Regional, where he finished tied for 21st with rounds of 73-73-73 - 219 (3-over par). He was also Denver's top finisher at the Sun Belt Championships in a tie for 11th.
