Women's Tennis Wins Third Consecutive Match

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - The University of Denver women's tennis team improved its record to 3-1 with a 5-2 win over New Mexico State in Sun Belt Conference action late Friday night. The Pioneers won four singles matches and claimed the doubles point for their third consecutive victory.
"We are excited about the win," head coach Dana Young said. "We fought pretty hard tonight and it's always good to win conference matches.
Collecting singles wins for Denver were Yanick Dullens (Susteren, Netherlands), Jenny Trettin (Berlin, Germany), Rachel Sackmaster (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Stephanie Ginsburg (Englewood, Colo.).
Denver won the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Dullens and Suzana Maksovic (Susteren, Netherlands) won at No. 1, Trettin and Kourim at No. 2 and Crystal Knysh (Encinitas, Calif.) and Marisa Mechem (Fredericksburg, Texas) won at No. 3.
The Pioneers host Tulsa tonight at 6 p.m. MT.
