Mobile, Ala. The University of Denver women’s soccer team held UALR to only two shots, as the Pioneers advanced to the Sun Belt Conference Championship game with a 3-0 victory over the Trojans on Thursday.

 

DU (11-4-4) jumped out to an early lead, when sophomore midfielder Kelli Breidenbach (Fort Collins, Colo.) scored an unassisted goal just three minutes into the game.

 

Senior midfielder Jenna Billingsley (Littleton, Colo.) headed in a pass from senior defender Elise Mascitelli (Denver, Colo.) in the 63^rd minute.

 

Junior forward Dana Schonberger (Littleton, Colo.) added the final goal of the game just 23 seconds later off a pass from sophomore midfielder Lizzy Carlson (Honolulu, Hawaii).

 

Sophomore goalkeepers Mackenzie Snyder (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) and Cadie Crean (Wethersfield, Conn.) combined for the shutout of the Trojans (11-10-1).

                                                                                                                                                    

The Pioneers move on to the SBC Championship against the winner of the Western Kentucky/North Texas game on Saturday at noon.
