Final Stats

DAVIS, Calif. - Sophomore Karen Morton (Adelaide, Australia) scored three goals and added a pair of assists, as No. 14 Denver cruised past UC-Davis 12-5 for the Pioneers second-straight MSPF road victory.

 

The Aggies' Megan O'Connor put UC-Davis (6-6, 0-3) on the scoreboard first, just over four minutes into the game, but that was the only shot the Aggies took in the first half.

 

Denver (12-2, 2-0) responded with a flourish, scoring nine unanswered goals before halftime, including two each by junior Megan Carver (Baltimore, Md.), senior midfielder Kristie Leggio (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Morton.

 

UC-Davis outscored Denver 4-3 in the second half, but DU had already put the game out of reach.

 

With the road portion of DU's regular season complete, the Pioneers head home to face St. Mary's on Friday at 1 p.m. MT.
