The University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation is now accepting applications for an Athletics Administration internship. The position will have specific projects within the Athletic Department (to be determined by the committee chair and/or project supervisor) and will work directly with the designated unit's staff members. Projects may be assigned from the offices of Student-Athlete Support Services, Compliance, Diversity and Community Relations, Athletic Administration, Sport Program Supervision, Budget and Finance, Marketing, Media Relations, Development and Corporate Sponsorship.
Purpose: To provide opportunities for historically underrepresented ethnic minorities as part of the Division of Athletics and Recreation's Minority Issues Plan. The University of Denver and the Division of Athletics and Recreation have a strong commitment to achieving diversity among our staff. Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors Degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred: - Previous experience working within an intercollegiate athletic department and/or recreation
- Pursuit of a career in intercollegiate athletic administration
- Previous experience as a student-athlete
Salary
$18,000
20 hrs/week
Appointment
9 months (typically September-May)
