Sophomore Marc Cheverie (Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia) is Denver’s Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 23. Cheverie stopped a career-high 45 shots for his third career shutout in Denver’s 5-0 win at Wisconsin on Saturday after making 32 saves in the Pioneers’ 4-3 overtime win over the Badgers on Friday night.

Cheverie has a 2.43 goals against average with a .918 saves percentage.

Cheverie and the Pioneers are 19-9-4 on the season and lead the WCHA with a 15-7-3 conference mark. DU has three regular season games remaining, beginning with a two-game series with St. Cloud State this weekend at Magness Arena.
