Denver Men's Golf To Host 2009 Desert Shootout

GOODYEAR, Ariz. The University of Denver men’s golf team will tee-off action at the 2009 Desert Shootout today, hosting 14 other teams at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz.

 

The three-day tournament will feature Air Force, Boise State, Cleveland State, Coastal Carolina, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri State, Nebraska, New Mexico (Individuals only), Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Tulsa and Utah Valley.

 

Participants will complete 54 holes on the 7,015 yard, par-71 course over the next three days.

 

The Pioneers are coming off a fifth-place finish at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate Tournament that was hosted by the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Denver shot three-round scores of 291-280-279 for a 14-under par 850 at the Leilehua Golf Course at the Schofield Barracks, O’ahu.
