Box Score

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Seniors Lizzy Carlson's (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Kelli Breidenbach (Fort Collins, Colo.) each had a goal and an assist, as the University of Denver women's soccer team beat Texas Christian 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in the Colorado College Invitational at Stewart Field.

Carlson put Denver (5-1-1) on the board early off a feed from Breidenbach just 8:41 into the game.

TCU (4-3-0) scored the equalizer two minutes later, but the Pioneers reclaimed the lead in the 31st minute, when sophomore midfielder Bria Beardsley (Mission Viejo, Calif.) scored on a Carlson assist.

The Horned Frogs tied the game again in the 40th minute off a Jordan Calhoun goal.

Breidenbach scored the game-winner in the 52nd minute off a pass from freshman forward Kaitlin Bast (Centennial, Colo.).

The Pioneers next travel to Corvallis, Ore., for a neutral site game with Oregon on Sept. 18 and a road contest against Oregon State on Sept. 20.
