Women's Tennis Loses to UNLV

DENVER - No. 30 UNLV beat Denver, 6-1, in women's tennis action today at Fertitta Complex. UNLV improves to 9-2 with the win, while the Pioneers fall to 3-8.

DU senior Julia Bauregger (Klagenfurt, Austria) posted DU's lone point of the match. Bauregger upset No. 72 Jana Albers 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

"We played a very tough UNLV team today," DU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "They are solid very solid team 1-6. Julia played a great match beating their No. 2 player and the No. 72 ranked woman in the country. We hope to use this experience on this road trip against UNLV and Pepperdine to make us stronger as the season goes on."

The Pioneers play No. 37 Pepperdine tomorrow at 11 a.m.
