Saint Mary's Beats Denver, 5-2

Moraga, CA - No. 55 Denver dropped a 5-2 decision to Saint Mary's in women's tennis action today at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on Sunday.  The Gaels claimed the doubles point and four singles wins to improve to 3-1. DU falls to 2-4.

Ute Schnoy (Altenstadt, Germany) and Julia Bauregger (Klagenfurt, Austria) claimed the singles wins for the Pioneers.

Schnoy defeated Alex Poorta 6-3, 7-6(3) at No. 1 and Bauregger beat Catherine Isip 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(7).

Denver returns to action at BYU and Utah on Feb. 13-14.
