STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Denver men's golf team finished 19th at the 2010 US Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford University, turning in a 62-over par 902 performance at the Stanford Golf Course.
Oregon won the team title with a 1-under par 839, while San Diego State and Washington rounded out the top three. Individually, the Ducks' Daniel Miernicki won the crown with a three-round total of 8-under par 202 after turning in scores of 70-68-64.
Senior Espen Kofstad (Oslo, Norway) finished tied for eighth with a 2-under par 208 performance through three rounds, carding scores of 73-67-68. Sophomore Troy Anderson (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) finished tied for 79th with a 16-over par 226, while teammate Jon Lopez (Aurora, Colo.) carded a 17-over par 227.
Rounding out the scoring for the Pioneers was junior Klinton Krieger (Cheyenne, Wyo.) and freshman Kevin Gillick (Lincoln, N.E.), finishing tied for 102nd and 106th, respectively. Krieger turned in scores of 85-74-83 to finish 32-over par 242, while Gillick finished with scores of 84-82-84 for a 40-over par 250.
