INDIANAPOLIS - University of Denver women's golfer, freshman Kimberly Kim (Pahoa, Hawai'i) was selected to participate in the 2010 NCAA DI Women's Golf Championships, it was announced today by the NCAA. Kim advanced by finishing 11th at the NCAA Central Regional Championships held at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
The Championships will be conducted from May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. The University of North Caroling Wilmington will serve as the host institution.
Three regional competitions were held from May 6-8 and from the 369 regional participants, 126 participants advanced to the finals. Eight teams and two individuals, not on a selected team, advanced from each regional. All participants will compete throughout the entire 72 holes of championship competition.
In the team competition, the lowest four scores for each team will count in each day's total score.
