Box Score MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sophomore forward Kaitlin Bast (Centennial, Colo.) scored in the 51^st minute, leading the Pioneers (7-2) to a 1-0 victory over Middle Tennessee (3-7) and their first conference game win of the season on Friday evening.

Bast received a cross from freshman forward Kristen Hamilton (Littleton, Colo.) and blasted in her own rebound after hitting the post with her first shot.

"We weren't very good in the first half, but the second half was much better because we put more pressure on Middle Tennessee," said head coach Jeff Hooker.  "We gave up several chances at the end of the game, but Lara Campbell made great saves to keep us in the game."

Sophomore goalkeeper Lara Campbell (Anchorage, Alaska) made seven saves, six of which occurred in the second half. 

Denver next faces Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky. on Sunday, Sept. 25.
