The 2011-12 University of Denver hockey team has bolstered its offense, defense and goaltending with the addition of 10 freshmen. For 10 weeks, one freshman per week will be introduced to Pioneer Nation with a video interview below.
This week's freshman is: Larkin Jacobson.
Jacobson, a forward, begins his career at Denver after two seasons with the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League. The Sioux City, Iowa, native recorded a team-leading 105 penalty minutes, five power-play goals and six game-winning goals in 55 games in 2010-11.Jacobson's step-father is NHL player Ruslan Fedotenko. Jacobson will sport number 14 for the Pioneers this season.
