Chase Hallam Voted Academic All-District

DENVER - University of Denver sophomore guard Chase Hallam (Mesquite, Texas) was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced today.

A business major, Hallam has a 3.85 cumulative grade point average, earning a spot on the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List last year. Hallam also has been named a DU Hornbeck Scholar for earning a perfect 4.0 GPA the last two quarters.

Hallam ranks seventh in the Sun Belt in steals (1.6 per game), 10th in three-point percentage (.404), 11th in field goal percentage (.492), 13th in assists (2.7 per game), 18th in scoring (13.0 points per game) and fifth in minutes played (34.1 per game).

Hallam has helped lead the Pioneers (11-10, 7-1 SBC) to first place in the Sun Belt Conference West Division. Denver will face Arkansas-Little Rock at the Jack Stephens Center on Thursday at 6 p.m. MT, and Arkansas State on Saturday, Feb. 5. Both game times are set for 6 p.m. MT.
