DENVER - Fans of the University of Denver hockey team can follow the program on a new account on Twitter for the most up-to-the-minute news, scores and event updates.

DU Director of Media Relations Erich Bacher will use Twitter at www.Twitter.com/DU_Hockey to send out breaking news, scores and highlights exclusively of the Pioneer hockey program. Fans that cannot make it to games can follow along on Twitter through live Tweets that will be posted throughout games as well.

Fans can also follow the Pioneer hockey program online at www.DenverPioneers.com, Facebook and www.CoverItLive.com during the 2011-12 season. DU athletics also has a Twitter feed at www.Twitter.com/DU_Pioneers for all 17 NCAA Division I sports programs.
