SACRAMENTO, Calif. - No. 50 Sacramento State defeated Denver 5-2 in women's tennis action Friday in Sacramento.
Sacramento State improved to 13-8 with the win, while Denver moves to 7-12.
Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) upset No. 122 Tatsiana Kapshai 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles to highlight the match for Denver.
Freshman Natalie Dunn (Fort Collins, Colo.) beat Milica Zivanovic 7-6, 6-3 at No. 6 singles for DU's other point.
Elena Najera (San Diego, Calif.) and Steffi Rath (Hochst, Austria) each lost in three sets.
DU returns to action at St. Mary's on April 10.
