Cartagena, Murcia, Spain - Former University of Denver women's golfer Dawn Shockley (Estes Park, Colo.) earned full status for the 2012 Ladies European Tour season as fellow former Pioneers Sara Djos (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Ellie Givens (Darlington, England) gained conditional status after the final round of LET qualifying at the La Menga Club in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain on Thursday.
"I am so proud of these three," head coach Sammie Chergo said. "They are shining examples of our mission to grow future leaders through competitive golf and competitive academics here at the University of Denver."
Shockley acquired Category 8a status allowing her to play in all LET events in 2012. She finished six-over par (82-70-74-69-72-367) and tied for 26th at the five-day, five-round event.
Djos tied for 30th at nine-over par (72-74-74-74-76-370) and Givens (71-71-79-74-76-371) finished in a tie for 41st at 10-over par. Both players earned Category 9b status for the 2012 LET season, making them eligible for many, but not all LET events.
