"It was very much a complete game," said DU head coach Jeff Hooker. "Today I thought from beginning to end, we really played up to our standards. The thing I felt really good about was it didn't matter which players, or combination of players, were on the field. We were looking at different players playing together and different combinations, so it was good to see positivity in all aspects from the opening whistle until the end."
Freshman goalie Cassidy Rey (Arcadia, Calif.) made one save in 60 minutes of action, while senior Amelia Davis (Palisade, Colo.) made one save in 30 minutes.

Less than 20 seconds later, Denver got a goal from Digiacomo off a penalty kick. The penalty was the result of a play that began when senior Cassidy Larson (Eldorado, Colo.) delivered a pass to Hamilton, who upon enter the 18-yard box, was taken down by the IUPUI goalie.
