Upon graduating from DU, I joined Teach for America where I learned more from my eighth grade students than I think I taught them; but I sure did try!! Adventuring through the incredible city of San Francisco and working alongside other dedicated teachers and corps members for three years allowed me to forge amazing relationships and enjoy an especially formative opportunity. That experience led me to apply to Pearson's Leadership Development Program, where I learned loads personally and professionally by virtue of having three rotations in New York City, Boston and Phoenix over the course of two years. After the program, I had the chance to take a two-year+ position in London.
I am currently living in London while working for Pearson Education as a Course Design Consultant and pursuing a master’s degree from the University of London in Educational Planning, Economics, and International Development. I look forward to learning from international colleagues/classmates, experiencing new things by traveling, and hosting loved ones from home.
Being a student-athlete at the University of Denver was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work with a lot of great people!
DU ingrained athletics into my DNA. Tangibly speaking, my classroom had an athletic theme (I would list the play on words but they are far too corny!) and I learned a new sport in each city I lived. Intangibly speaking, it's hard to describe and I would love to hear how any teammates are able to articulate it, but I still hold our values of teamwork, drive, family, etc. Those beliefs fuel how I ambitiously set, confidently pursue, and enthusiastically achieve individual and group goals.
