DENVER – Registration is now open for the 2014 University of Denver women’s basketball summer camps, head coach Kerry Cremeans announced today.
The Pioneers will host three separate camps this summer, beginning with the Elite Camp, which will run from June 14-15. The Elite Camp is for the advanced and serious-minded high school player looking for a dynamic series of position-specific drill sets designed to challenge different skill levels and give players an opportunity to develop increased fundamental ability in all areas of the game. Elite camp is designed to prepare student-athletes the reality of their dream of competing on the collegiate level and beyond. Four sessions (two each day) and three meals will be included for $160 per camper.
The Jr. Elite Camp will take place June 20-21, 2014 and is open to youth, grades 6-9. Jr Elite camp is designed to bridge the gap between our Day Camp and our Elite Camp. This camp is designed to help players gain more basketball knowledge while also learning drills that will help them throughout their basketball career. This is for players that have a basic understanding of the game of basketball that is taught during Day Camp but may be waiting for the high intensity work and drills that our Elite camp provides. Price for the Jr. Elite Camp is $175.
DU’s Day Camp is open to students from first to sixth grade and will run from June 23-26. Our day camp is designed to introduce the game of basketball to young players. Campers will be provided with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills while offering an atmosphere that fosters cooperative learning and enthusiasm. Campers will participate in teaching stations as well as play games and utilize learned skills. Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch each day. Cost for the Day Camp is $275.
