The DU Pioneers came in at No. 1 on both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine NCAA Div. I Hockey polls this week, both of which were announced earlier today. This is the first time since March 15, 2010 that the Pioneers have been ranked No. 1 in the nation. Denver came in at No. 2 on this week's edition of John Buccigross' #cawlidgehawkey poll.

Denver went 1-0-1 at North Dakota this past weekend to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1). The Pioneers (7-2-1, 3-0-1-0 NCHC) will next face conference rivals Miami (3-6-2, 0-4-0-0 NCHC) this coming weekend at Magness Arena (Friday - 7:30pm & Saturday - 7:00pm, click HERE for ticket info).

As part of the 2016 Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive, the first intermission of Friday's game will feature a TEDDY BEAR TOSS during which fans will be invited to throw stuffed toys onto the ice surface of Magness Arena during the FIRST INTERMISSION following a prompt from in-arena PA announcer Jimmy Luthye. The stuffed toys will then be collected and donated to local children at Boys & Girls Clubs holiday parties.
