DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's basketball teams will hold their annual media day for the upcoming season on Tuesday, Oct. 30. A joint press conference will be held in the Champions Room for both teams, with a scheduled start of 9:30 a.m.

Men's basketball players will be available to media for interviews after practice concludes, which runs from 10:15-1 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium. Women's basketball will hold practice from 4:15-6:30 p.m. later that afternoon. Both practices are open to the media.

The press conference will begin in the Champions Room with a welcome and then by women's basketball head coach Jim Turgeon issuing an opening statement, then a question-and-answer segment from the media. Men's basketball head coach Rodney Billups will then give an opening statement followed by a question-and-answer segment with the media.

Both Billups and Turgeon will immediately be available following the press conference for any one-on-one interviews with members of the Denver media.

The men's team opens the season on Nov. 6 against Maine at 7 p.m. in Magness Arena, while the women's team opens the season on Nov. 9 against UMKC at 7 p.m.
