DENVER – Denver Pioneers men's hockey freshmen forwards Brendan Budy and Sean Comrie have been named to NHL Central Scouting's Players to Watch List for the 2019 NHL Draft set to be held on June 21-22 at Rodgers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. Both players received C ratings as potential fourth, fifth or sixth-round selections in the upcoming draft.
 
Budy, a 5'10" 181-pound forward, has two shots and six penalty minutes through six games this season. Prior to joining the Pioneers, the Langley B.C. native logged 101 points (37-64-101) in 105 career games with the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL)
 
Comrie, a 6'0" 168-pound defenseman, has two shots through two games this season. Prior to Denver, the Edmonton, Alberta native posted 52 points (12-40-52) in 102 career games with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), winning the AJHL championship in 2018.
 
The Pioneers have had at least one (1) student-athlete selected in each of the last 17 NHL Drafts.
