DENVER – The University of Denver women's volleyball team secured its fifth-consecutive Summit League Regular Season Championship with a sweep over Oral Roberts on Friday night inside Hamilton Gymnasium. The Pioneers took down the Golden Eagles by scores of 25-17, 25-9 and 25-12 to wrap up their 2018 home schedule.
Denver improved to 24-1 (13-0 Summit League) on the year, extending its win streak to 22 matches.
"I'm really proud that we were able to honor our seniors with such a high level of play tonight against a good Oral Roberts team," said head coach Tom Hogan. "Becca, Liv and Emma have meant so much to our program, and to be able to win our fifth consecutive regular season Summit League title on their senior night was really special. We are going to take a couple of days to rest, recover and reset before we enter our final week of regular season play. We still have a lot of opportunities to grow as a team, and I look forward to getting back into the gym to continue to develop that potential."
