DENVER – Denver Pioneers men's hockey senior forward
Jarid Lukosevicius was named NCAA First Star of the Week, the NCAA announced on Tuesday.
Lukosevicius scored a hat trick and a pair of game-winning goals to help Denver notch 5-2 and 4-3 (OT) wins against Western Michigan last weekend. The Squamish, B.C. native finished the weekend with five goals, 9 shots, two power-play goals, two blocked shots and a +1 rating. Lukosevicius notched a hat trick in Friday's game, then added a pair of goals on Saturday, including the overtime winner. He is on a six-game point streak with seven goals and three assists.
