DENVER – University of Denver senior women's swimmer
Avery Niemann (Oklahoma City, Okla.) competed earlier this month at the 2018 Pan-American Modern Pentathlon Championships, finishing 14
th in the event, the top finishing American woman in the test event for the 2019 American Games in Lima, Peru.

Niemann finished with the best swimming time to earn 298 points from the event. The Denver senior also earned 289 points from riding (sixth overall), 220 points from fencing (21
st overall) and 395 points (27
th overall) from the combined shooting and running discipline.
TOGETHER 4 COLORADO TOY DRIVE:
The Pioneers have partnered with CBS4 for the Together 4 Colorado Toy Drive to support the Denver community during the holiday season. Beginning Nov. 17, there will be toy drops at every Denver Athletics and Newman Center event thru Dec. 19. Additionally, there will be a Community Shop 'n Drop on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., hosted by the Denver Cheerleading squad at the circle drive on the north side of the Ritchie Center.
