NEW YORK (DU/BIG EAST) - University of Denver senior long stick midfielder Sean Mayle (San Carlos, Calif.) has been named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. This award marks the second midfielder of the week for Mayle this season.

Mayle had a well-rounded stat line in then-No. 5/6 Denver's 12-7 win over then-No. 18/19 Ohio State. Mayle had two goals, six ground balls and two caused turnovers. With his six, Mayle tied a career high in ground balls. Mayle was one of Denver's five multi-goal scorers. It was the first multi-goal game of his career.

UP NEXT:
Following its game against [RV/RV] Towson on Saturday (12 p.m./ESPN Denver 1600/Pioneer Vision), the [5/5] University of Denver men's lacrosse team, Presented by Your Hometown Toyota Stores, will begin BIG EAST play next Saturday when the Pioneers head to [16/18] Georgetown. Faceoff is set for 10 a.m. MT, and the game will be broadcast on Fox College Sports Atlantic and ESPN Denver 1600.
