Groters Wins 100 Back to Highlight Night Two of CCCAN Championships

Incoming freshman Patrick Groters booked two spots on the podium on Sunday night
ARUBA – Incoming freshman Patrick Groters (Santa Cruz, Aruba) reached the wall ahead of the rest of the 100 back field, winning the event by 0.66 seconds with a 57.54 to highlight the Pioneers' performances on night two of the 2018 CCCAN Championships in Aruba.
Rising sophomore Adriel Sanes (Rosharon, Texas) got the night started for the Denver duo with a fourth place finish in the 50 fly, clocking in at 25.30.
Groters followed that up with his win in the 100 back, before finishing second a few events later in the 400 IM with a time of 4:38.21.
Sanes and Groters will be back in action again tomorrow in Aruba.
