Leckie and Gilbert Swim in 200 Free Finals at Canadian Trials

EDMONTON, Alberta – A pair of University of Denver swimmers began finals competition on Wednesday night in the 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials at the Kinsmen Sport Centre.

Freshman Aysia Leckie (Georgetown, Ontario) improved on her prelims time in the women's 200 free by 2.25 seconds to win the B-Final on Wednesday night, taking 11^th in the event. Leckie's finals time was the ninth-best finals time overall.

Sophomore Colin Gilbert (Kamloops, B.C.) took 10^th on the men's side with a time of 1:52.86.
