Leckie Takes 17th in 50 Free on Night Four of Canadian Trials

EDMONTON, Alberta – Freshman freestyle women's swimmer Aysia Leckie (Georgetown, Ontario) was the only Pioneer to compete in finals action on day four of the 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials Saturday at the Kinsmen Sport Centre.

Leckie took 17^th in the 50 free on Saturday with a time of 26.78.

Incoming freshman Patrick Groters and freshman Adriel Sanes (Rosharon, Texas) began competition this weekend in the Central American and Caribbean Games. Groters took fifth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.13 to lead the Pioneer duo. Sanes swam in both the 100 breast and 200 IM B-Finals on Saturday, taking second in both of them with times of 1:03.71 and 2:09.53, respectively.
