Denver Sets 2018-19 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Schedules

Pioneers set for packed October at El Pomar Natatorium
DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs have set their 2018-19 schedules, a slate that includes five days of action in October at El Pomar Natatorium, head coach Brian Schrader announced on Monday.
This year's 2018-19 schedule opens with the two swimming teams hosting their annual Denver Relays meet at El Pomar (Oct. 6/1 p.m.). The meet will follow the program's annual awards banquet that morning in the Gottesfeld Room.
Denver's women will host meets the next two weekends in the Mile High City. The Pioneers will welcome Colorado State down from Fort Collins on October 12 (4 p.m.), before hosting the 2018 Dual-A-Palooza October 19-20 when Rice, FIU and Tulane visit the DU campus.
DU's men will be back in action for a busy final weekend of October. The Pioneers will make the trip down I-25 South to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force on October 26 (5 p.m.), before turning around and hosting Wyoming, with the women's program, on October 27 (12 p.m.).
The Pioneers will begin November with a meet in Iowa City when both the men's and women's teams take on a pair of Big Ten programs in Iowa and Michigan November 2-3.
Denver's big meet of the fall will see the Pioneers return to Knoxville for the 2018 University of Tennessee Invite November 29-December 1.
Following the holiday break, both Denver programs will head to Las Vegas and Atlanta on back-to-back weekends. The first of two weekends (Jan. 18-19), the Pioneers will participate in a two-day meet in Vegas against hosts UNLV and UC Santa Barbara. Denver's trip to Atlanta will feature a Pioneers' meet against Georgia Tech and Arkansas (women only).
Denver's February, leading up to the Summit League Championships in Sioux Falls at the end of the month (Feb. 20-23), will begin with both diving teams heading down to the AFA Diving Invite (Feb. 1-2), while the swimming programs host the Sprint Eliminator with Air Force on February 2.
The men's and women's NCAA Championships will both take place in Austin in 2019, while details on the 2019 National Invitational have yet to be announced.
